How Do I Add/Remove Myself From an Email List?
A list of NetIDs is obtained from the College every semester. This list is by no means 100% correct so some people may be added or left off the department email lists. To unsubscribe yourself, send an email to any of the following lists:
- Undergraduate List - ugrad-unsubscribe@ae.illinois.edu
- Graduate List - grad-unsubscribe@ae.illinois.edu
- Post Doc List - post_doc-unsubscribe@ae.illinois.edu
How can I change my FROM address in pine?
When using "pine" on the department workstations karman.ae.uiuc.edu or prandtl.ae.uiuc.edu the default reply-to address has been changed to username@uiuc.edu.
This was done to take advantage of the new SPAM filtering and virus scanning CITES is going to/has rolled out for all username@uiuc.edu addresses. New emal will be sent to the default UIUC email address and can then be forwarded back to the AE servers
The FROM address can be changed by simply editting your .pinerc file located in your home directory. Simply change the user-domain option to read:
user-domain="ae.uiuc.edu"
