Description of Research:

Co-directed by Professor G. H. Miley and Professor R. L. Burton. Liquid-fueled fuel cells, using hydrogen peroxide and sodium borohydride solutions, can provide high power performance for space applications, including satellites, manned vehicles, and lunar or Mars bases. Research activities include development of low power cells, as well as regenerative units up to 2000 W power output.
